John A. Glowacki Jr.
Corporate VP & CTO of CSC
Mr. Glowacki, Corporate VP & CTO of Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), has shepherded the transition from decentralized control of the corporation's IT budget to a centralized model, achieving significant savings while improving performance and deploying new technologies. In his time at Computer Sciences Corporation, Mr. Glowacki has provided technology solutions across many of CSC's major operating groups and held key leadership roles in successfully supporting business development opportunities and large global accounts in the private and public sectors. His CSC roles have included Chief Architect for Global Collaborative Computing (at the Chemical Group), Solution Executive, Deputy Account Executive and Chief of PMO as well as Capture Executive. He has worked around the world in various industries including aviation, defense & national security, chemical, financial, heavy industry and retail.
Prior to joining CSC, Mr. Glowacki retired from the United States Air Force in 2000 at the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) where he was a program manager responsible for providing technology solutions in the areas of communications, navigation and information warfare. Prior to that, he had multiple assignments as a Combat Controller (CCT) assigned to JSOC, and was stationed in the US and Latin America. Through these experiences, Mr. Glowacki has a fairly unique breadth of experience on the defensive and offensive sides of the physical, personal and information (cyber) security arenas dealing with high-value personnel and resources.
Mr. Glowacki currently represents CSC on the Board of Directors of the Climate Savers Computing Initiative, is on the Board of Directors of Tech America and is a member of the Northern Virginia Technology Council, Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association as well as the National Defense Industrial Association. He holds an FAA private pilot license with instrument and multi-engine ratings. Mr. Glowacki will complete his MBA degree in May 2009 at George Mason University.
